We did have to go to the car wash to remove some mud and mouth smudges and to vacuum out the car. Several of the animals had huge horns and did come up against our car but we escaped unscathed thankfully. If your window is rolled down they are coming in face first! I thought I was fast enough but had a donkey in my face and dumped my pet food all over the inside of our car. The steers, donkeys, llamas, deer, ponies, yaks, etc, etc., come right up to your car to get food pellets from you. Once we did get up there the girl taking entrance fees was very friendly and advised they were not offering the Jeep rentals because of the virus so you were taking a risk to drive a nice car through. That took ONE HOUR! We just sat and occasionally moved a foot or two. There was no way to exit until you got to the paying gate. We pulled in and you see immediately “in line” and are stuck. We were in Huntsville for the weekend and our driving through the mountains and saw this in google. We had no idea what we were getting into here. Maybe one day we will be back in the area and the reptile exhibits will be available. Overall this is a great experience with more variety of animals than a petting zoo. We got stuck for a little bit by a large bull who was drinking water but eventually he got bored and moved. You are entering the main enclosure and are subject to what the animals are wanting to do. The giraffe, camel and tortoise seemed isolated in small pens. The cons- as some have pointed out the conditions of the enclosures we saw aren’t the best. Kids love activities like this and ours definitely did. Went through twice after wanting a refill on the bucket. We escaped relatively unharmed, minus the zebra that was chewing on our door handle? Now who can say they’ve had that happen? We’ve only seen something like this in Canada (Parc Omega) so we found this fun. We didn’t ask about car rentals due to COVID, but we did know the risk of using our car. It was only open for drive through due to COVID.
